Darin Luman is excited to join the team as Assistant Principal of James F. Delaney Elementary.

This is his ninth year in education.  He spent the previous four years in KISD, first as a U.S. History teacher at Kennedale Junior High and then last year as a Principal Intern for Patterson Elementary and Arthur Intermediate schools.  Prior to KISD, he taught at DeSoto West Middle school for four years, including the final three in their inaugural Male Leadership Academy.

Darin and his wife Sharon have been happily married for 25 years.  They have a son, Garrett, who just recently graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.  Even though Darin is moving out of the classroom and into campus administration, he maintains the motto of “students are not just my students for one year, but rather they are my students for a lifetime”.
